We will gladly help you with any concern

HOW DOES LIFEAHOLIC'S PROTOCOL WORK?

At Lifeaholic we care about your wellbeing and comfort, that's why we have taken the necessary measures to ensure that you will have an excellent experience and a boat in the best possible condition.

Due to the changed situation concerning COVID, we have adopted new hygiene and protection measures for you and our workers, so that both of you have the maximum degree of safety when renting our boats. That is why we have adjusted our cleaning protocol, following the guidelines established for this purpose, adding to the cleaning already carried out the current protocols against viruses and germs, using the most advanced hygiene products and means available at the moment.

All our staff who carry out cleaning operations on the boats use personal protective equipment (PPE) consisting of masks, gloves and protective goggles, so that they can carry them out with maximum safety.

Once the exhaustive cleaning has been completed, and to guarantee our clients' safety and peace of mind, before departure we provide you with a document in which all steps we have taken to ensure correct hygiene are outlined.

WHERE CAN I GO WITH THE BOAT?

You can go wherever you want, but no further than 2 miles from a harbour, marina or place of shelter. On departure we will provide you with route suggestions and a map.

WHAT IS THE MAXIMUM CAPACITY OF THE BOAT?

The maximum capacity of our boats available without a licence is 6 persons, including children and babies, although this also depends on the weight of the passengers and their belongings. For other boats the capacity is different.

IS MY SAFETY GUARANTEED?

Yes, with us you are safe. But, as with a car, this also depends on the responsibility of the skipper. Our boats are of the maximum length allowed to be rented without a licence. Almost all boats have extensive safety equipment, such as: extra fuel tanks, GPS tracking devices and anchor with chain. A propeller guard is also fitted. The most important thing safety-wise is to keep sufficient distance (about 50 metres) from the shore and go slow in harbours, near the shore and other boats.

I HAVE NO EXPERIENCE, CAN I DRIVE A BOAT, IS IT DIFFICULT?

Driving a boat is not difficult if you keep in mind some basic rules. A boat has no gears, only forward and backward. At sea you can go fast, but in harbours and near the coast you have to go slow. Our staff will instruct you before you set to sea.

HOW FAR CAN I GO WITH THE BOAT DURING THE RENTAL?

This depends on for how many hours you rent a boat. Even during a short trip of two hours you can visit quite a few very beautiful and special places. If you rent a boat for either half a day or a full day, you can of course explore a lot more of the coast. We will show you the different routes and where we recommend you to go so that you don't arrive late at the port.

WHY DO I HAVE TO LEAVE A DEPOSIT?

We will ask you for a certain amount as a security deposit for the boat. If any damage occurs to the boat, which is not covered by insurance (e.g. a lost anchor, a lost fender, broken bimini, damaged  ropeller/engine protection, etc.), we will have to deduct the appropriate amount from your deposit. Also, if you arrive late, the extra rental time will be deducted from your deposit.

WHICH DOCUMENTS DO I NEED TO BRING WITH ME AT THE TIME OF THE RENTAL?

Please ensure that you have your valid identity document (passport, ID card, foreigner's identification number (NIE)) and if you are renting a boat that requires a licence, you need to provide the original of your sailing licence.

ARE THE BOATS INSURED?

Yes, all our boats are insured "all risks". As with all insurances, when there is deliberate damage, it is not covered. For example, this is the case with alcohol or misconduct.

HOW DOES THE DEPOSIT AND REFUND BY CARD WORK?

Where the deposit has been paid by card, the necessary amount is "blocked" on the card until all transactions are sent to the bank, which then unblocks the deposited amount.

CANCELLATIONS AND ANNULMENTS

The client may unilaterally cancel the rental contract within 15 days of the planned rental date of the boat without any obligation to pay compensation and with the right to a refund of all the amounts paid. Otherwise, 30% of the total rental price including VAT will be retained. For one-day rentals, if the boat rental company considers that the weather conditions may affect the safety of navigation, the rental may be postponed to another date depending on the availability of the boat, or the full refund of the fee.
